The solemn voices call through the valley
Galloping across through the centuries
The stars had gazed upon their long lost flame of hope
And buried in their resting ground
Cold and frozen like blizzards
Fallen and smouldered to dust
As carrions pass and the wolves gather at their mound to hunt
I stalk through the barren wood
And seek the blanketed ground of marrow and seeded steel
To learn the names of those wraiths
Climbing the grassy stones and trodding through the frigid streams
To sip through the graceful chalice of memory
Upon the landscape of bones
Which was purified and blessed by blood
Following beyond
Climb by climb
Step by step
Day by day
The sacred mother, will continue to gather the dead
And she'll watch as her children come to seek her harvest
Through the lowest depths of the harrowing winds
Through trial by grief, through desolate fog
